Physico-chemical characteristics
A mineral powder, hygroscopic, from chlorides and earth alkali fluoride.
Colour: white.
Application
Activity field: auto-parts, household equipment and other fields.
Precautions and recommendations for use
Refer to health and safety datasheets before use.
Directions for use
For flame/torch brazing: AL surfaces and Al/Mg alloys with rods Al/Si 7-12%
It can be used:
- as a paste by mixing powder with water or glycol.
- by hot-rodding: dipping hot rod on powder/paste.
Residues are corrosive; therefore, it is necessary to wash after brazing to eliminate residues. Immerse the still hot components in a cold-water bath, then rinse with a 5-10% nitric acid solution at 50°C and finally rinse with water.
