Flame Corrosive flux |
Physico-chemical characteristics
Hygroscopic powder containing complex inorganic chlorides and fluorides salts.
Colour: White.
Application
The flux is recommended for brazing aluminium in the automotive industry, household and other equipment.
Directions for use
For flame brazing: support in aluminium and alloys Al/Mg with Al/Si 7 to 12 % rod
It can be used:
- as a paste by mixing powder with water or glycol.
- by hot-rodding : dipping hot rod on powder/paste.
Residues are corrosive; therefore, it is necessary to wash after brazing to eliminate residues. Immerse the still hot components in a cold-water bath, then rinse with a 5-10% nitric acid solution at 50°C and finally rinse with water.
